Who operates Raya Time

Raya Time is operated by Moss Utilities, a Townes & Co company, for its own employees. Using the app is part of your employment: the time records it creates are your employer’s payroll records, and Moss Utilities is responsible for them.

What the app collects

The app collects only what payroll needs:

• Your name, work email, and employee ID.
• Your work hours: clock-in and clock-out times, and the job and cost codes you charge time to.
• Your precise location, captured only when you clock in to a job or switch an active shift to a job — never at clock-out and never in the background.
• A photo taken at clock in and at clock out, used to verify the time record.
• A device notification token, so the app can send you alerts about your time records.
• When you have no hours for a day, the reason recorded for you — for example sick, injury, rain, or no show.
• Short notes and reasons typed into the app when time is corrected or sent back, or when an absence is recorded.
• App diagnostics and usage information, so we can find and fix problems.

Some of it is recorded for you

Not everything here is something you enter yourself. Your foreman or another crew lead takes the clock-in and clock-out photos for the crew on site, and can record why you were out on a day you had no hours.

Why it is collected

This information keeps payroll accurate: it verifies time records, supports job costing, and lets foremen, project managers, and superintendents review and approve hours. A location check at job clock-in or job switch records whether the device was near the configured job pin. A missing or off-site result is flagged for review but does not block the time record.

Who it is shared with

Your data goes to Moss Utilities’ payroll systems and to the service providers that host the app, such as cloud infrastructure providers and Google, which handles sign-in. It is never sold, and the app contains no advertising and no ad tracking.

How long it is kept

Time records are payroll and business records, and so are absence records. Moss Utilities keeps them for as long as its record-keeping obligations require. Clock photos are verification evidence and are automatically deleted from photo storage after 90 days. App diagnostic and usage events are deleted after 18 months.

Your account

Moss Utilities creates your account when your employment starts and removes your access when it ends. There is no public sign-up, and the app has no way to create an account. There is also no self-service delete: the records the app creates are your employer’s payroll records, which Moss Utilities is required to keep. Contact the main office with any question about your account.

Questions and corrections

If you have questions about your data, or believe a time record is wrong, contact the Moss Utilities main office. Corrections to time records follow the normal payroll review process.
